SECURITY AND CONTROL TECHNICIAN

• Ask questions of arrestees to elicit information needed to complete forms, such as personal identification and medical information
• Prepare for and testify effectively in court proceedings
• Enter and update data into computer in order to maintain accurate records
• Receive and take inventory of inmate personal property; make notations of damaged items, count and give receipts for money collected; package, secure and store property according to standard procedure; return clothing and property to inmate upon release from custody
• Uses NCIC and GCIC computer system to check outstanding charges on inmates; send teletypes to law enforcement agencies with outstanding warrants; contact local agencies to check for outstanding warrants

• Verify status of accounts prior to performing water service
• Collect payments for water service from customers of delinquent accounts
• Check meters for water leakages, proper operation, and illegal water taps

• Oversees the detailed planning for construction and/or renovation of Cobb County Fire Department buildings, ensuring that projects are designed and constructed in a manner that will meet the client’s requirements, be cost effective, require low maintenance, complete within budget, and exhibit high material and workmanship quality
• Makes frequent jobsite visits to monitor progress and performance of employees and contractors
• Coordinates and manages all funding for projects and ensures reports, documents, and pay applications are managed in accordance with policies and procedures
