Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Processes tag and title applications
• Responds to requests for information from the public in person and on
the telephone; Interacts with the general public on a daily basis
• Determines the type of tag or decal to be sold and calculates the tax
and fees to be charged
• Inputs required information into the online tag/title computer system
• Handles cash and accountable items
• Resolves, or attempts to resolve, problems regarding tag, title, or
ad valorem taxes
• Obtains required information from customers to accurately register and
title all types of vehicles
• Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must pass background investigation and credit check
• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with standard computer keyboard.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations and tabulations
• Two years of experience as a front line customer service representative
in an automated environment.
• Experience cannot be substituted for minimum education requirements

Schedule: 40 hours per week (rotating shift work; some overtime
required)
Essential Functions:
• Maintain intake control and inmate holding areas to include keeping
watch on intake area for any confrontations, maintaining watch on holding cells,
and opening and closing gates for appropriate personnel only
• Ask questions of arrestees to elicit information needed to complete
forms, such as personal identification and medical information
• Prepare for and testify effectively in court proceedings
• Enter and update data into computer in order to maintain accurate records
• Receive and take inventory of inmate personal property; make notations
of damaged items, count and give receipts for money collected; package, secure
and store property according to standard procedure; return clothing and property
to inmate upon release from custody
• Uses NCIC and GCIC computer system to check outstanding charges on inmates;
send teletypes to law enforcement agencies with outstanding warrants; contact
local agencies to check for outstanding warrants
• Use computer systems and software programs to perform job duties; perform
other clerical duties as assigned
• Greet the public in courteous manner while providing instructions on
being screened to entered secured building
• Operate X-ray machine and metal detectors to screen public for weapons
and contraband
• Assist the public, other county employees and co-workers courteously
by telephone
• Monitor security areas by closed-circuit television
Minimum Qualifications:

• Answers phones, interacts with public and other employees
• Accepts sealed money deposits, safeguards, maintains logs in preparation
of courier pickup
• Assists Travel technician by inputting data to Advantage Financial System
• Monitors quantities and orders office supplies
• Annually wordprocesses Cobb TANs Official Statement
• Acts as employee contact for checks picked up by County departments
• Verifies daily cash deposits to validated amounts credited to bank accounts
• Distributes important payroll information to departments on a bi-weekly
basis
• Distributes daily cash reports to designated fund accountants and via
FAX to various departments
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Typing: 40-45 Words Per Minute
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including Word and
Excel)
• Adobe PDF experience preferred
• Three years of customer service and clerical experience which include
keyboarding, filing, and interacting with the public to disseminate information
• Experience cannot be substituted for minimum educational requirement.

Essential Duties:
• Answer questions and assist citizens and other county employees on the
telephone and in person
• Prepare homestead and other exemptions and determine eligibility of
exemptions
• Process property tax payments
• Perform tax research
• Responsible for handling mortgage company payments and resolving related
problems
• Interface with Tax Assessor’s Office to correct computer prepared
error lists
• Handle cash and accountable items
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• Must pass background investigation and credit check
• Must have cash handling experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of clerical experience which involved providing assistance
to the general public
• Knowledge of related laws and regulations desirable
• Must have computer experience
